And the road trip continues.....

Well one the way home from Playa Cahuita, Darah & I knew we didn't want to enter Siquirres so we followed the signs back to San Jose. I didn't recognise much but maybe I had been paying attention to the huge potholes and not looking at the stores etc on the side of the road. But after drivind over 1 and half hours more we should have reached Turrialba. We beagn to question things more as we began to go into the clouds...

Anyway making what should have been a 3 hour tour into a 7 hour journey.... well I guess just another eventful day to remember (even if it was all in the car).

The day before Darah left we visited Orosi Valley and Cachi where Costa Rica produces about 70% of their electricity thru hydro power. But this year, summer has been very hot and long so that there is nearly no water left. We have been losing power about 3 times per week as the company tries to conserve
.
The first picture was taken in February when my parents were here and the other two are now. Photos #1 and #2 are in almost the exact same location.
The Ujarras ruins of the first church in Costa Rica.
The oldest still functioning church in Costa Rica.
