Operation Christmas Child

The Samaritan's Purse program: Operation Christmas Child came to Jicotea. On March 10th, 93 boxes full of Christmas gifts arrived from all over Canada. There were a few from BC but no names that I recognized. :)
These special boxes flew all that way filled with games, clothes, books, candy, toothbrushes, hair clips, toy cars and much more.
It was a great day, the Church in Turrialba put on the program with songs and a presentation of the Gospel Message.
How wonderful to see all the smiles on the kids' faces, many of whom never had any gifts at Christmas.
Thank you to everyone who prepared a ShoeBox this year. I have seen first hand how much your gifts mean to these children.

Wow - that's so cool that you got to be there and witness the children on the receiving end!
I'd love to hear more of how you're doing!
